Chapter Bylaws

SMPS Maryland Chapter Bylaws 

The SMPS Maryland Chapter Bylaws provide the governing framework for our Chapter, including membership and voting rights, the composition and responsibilities of the Board of Directors, officer terms and succession, nominations and elections, committees, financial oversight, Chapter meetings, and procedures for future amendments.

In August 2026, SMPS Maryland members approved updated Chapter Bylaws as part of a Society-wide initiative to align chapters with the governance standards established by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

The updated bylaws help ensure that SMPS Maryland's governance practices remain consistent with SMPS while providing a clear framework for the Chapter's leadership, operations, accountability, and continued growth.
