BKM is looking for a highly energic, educated, and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing + Business Development team. We’d love for you to pursue your career at BKM.
Responsibilities:
- As required, work with staff to prepare and develop standard and complex proposals, presentation materials, and other marketing efforts.
- Coordinate, assemble, and prepare materials for client presentations and interviews.
- Create marketing collateral pursuits, including but not limited to concept production, graphic design, video content, and price negotiations.
- Create responses to qualifications and ensure schedules are met for proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Develop creative content, including case studies, e-blasts, social media posts, paid advertising, and editorial content.
- Ensuring all proposal materials effectively communicate the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit.
- Maintain inventory of promotional items for tradeshows, interviews, or as needed.
- May also perform special projects and other reasonable business-related duties as requested.
- Monitor websites and emails RFP/RFQ announcements and distribute for a go/no-go decision.
- Support marketing and business development activities, from client and opportunity research to pursuit management and proposal development.
- Update website, social media, and blog posts; in a consistent manner.
- Utilize Deltek Vision database to maintain company and contact information in addition to opportunity tracking, completed project information, and resume information.
- Work with the Director of Marketing + Business Development to establish specific short-, near-, and long-term activities and develop tracking, monitoring, and assessment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, journalism, English, business or related discipline from a four-year college or university is required.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 1-4 years of professional marketing experience; exposure to architectural, engineering, or construction industry is a plus.
- A strong visual sense, graphic design experience and working knowledge of graphic programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and WordPress.
- Ability to be organized and flexible with competing deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task; coordinate multiple efforts simultaneously and prioritize deadlines.
- Ability to provide input in creative brainstorms.
- Excellent writing skills; capable of writing in a clear, thoughtful, and organized manner.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
- Great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision or other CRM and asset management database.
