A/E/C marketing has a fuzzy career path. Without careful planning and intentional action, marketers can become stale or separated from the missions of their firm. What can we learn from reflecting on our own successes and challenges, as well as hearing the experiences of others?
In a time when side-hustles are growing, and early career turnover is rapid (according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics workers aged 25 to 34 average 2.8 years between job changes), there can be particular satisfactions to building a strong, mutually-satisfying marketer-employer relationship. That may need unconventional thinking! This facilitated discussion will share best practices for building a long-term successful marketing career with the same employer. Tools and engagement exercises will be provided, as well as prompts for sharing and leveraging your own experiences.
Topics will include differentiating yourself in the industry, creating a mindset of continuous learning, and leveraging professional associations for yourself and your firm.
