SMPS Maryland Raising Money for Canstruction

Each year the chapter selects at least one organization to support through volunteer efforts and financial donations. This year we will be supporting Canstruction, a nonprofit organization that donates to local food banks through exciting design and build competitions where the structures are made entirely of canned food! This year’s local competition is taking place 5/19/2012 at White Marsh Mall.

Wherever a Canstruction competition is held thousands of hungry people are fed, a greater awareness of the issues surrounding hunger is brought home to the public, and a spotlight is placed on the design and construction industry giving back to the communities it helps build.

$5 of each ticket sold for all of the remaining programs and events will be donated to Canstruction. Attendees are also able to purchase raffle tickets for your chance to win an iPad2! The proceeds of each raffle ticket sold will go directly towards our charity fundraising. The winner will be announced at the year-end event. If you haven’t gotten your raffle tickets yet, please remember to bring cash to the next event you attend. Tickets are $5 for 1 or $20 for 5., a pretty good deal for an iPad 2!
