Members Volunteer at Maryland Foodbank
What an amazing turn-out SMPS MD saw at the MD Food Bank on December 15, 2012! Nearly 20 volunteers donated their time Saturday morning helping to cement SMPS MD’s commitment to connecting with our community and giving back. Our group’s enthusiasm continued throughout the morning as we worked on a special project for the Food Bank. Each holiday season, the Food Bank creates food boxes designed specifically to meet the needs of families with children. Starting with the box assembly, to the chain-gang of us loading each box with nutritional foods, to the quality control group, SMPS MD was able to pack 5,984 pounds of food which equates to 4,603 meals!
